InsideFights is reporting that B.J. Penn will make another lightweight title defense against Diego Sanchez at UFC 105. The proposed event would be the main event.
B.J. Penn is coming off of an impressive victory over Kenny Florian at UFC 101 and will look to fend off another contender. Penn had stated that he wanted to fight Sanchez sooner than later, however it is surprising that he would fight in England again. Penn had previously vowed not to fight in England againt following less pay and jet lag in the Joe Stevenson fight.
Diego Sancehz earned the number one contender slot by defeating Clay Guida at the Ultimate Fighter 9 Season Finale in what may be a fight of the year candidate. Sanchez is 2-0 since dropping down to the UFC lightweight division. Sanchez is best known as the winner of the first season of the Ultiamte Fighter reality show. He will look to become the fourth Ultimate Fighter contestant to hold a UFC title (Serra, Griffin and Evans).
