Forrest Griffin vs. Rogerio Nogueira Possible For UFC 113

Tatame is reporting that a bout between Forrest Griffin and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is possible for UFC 113 on May 8.

Forrest Griffin notched a split decision victory over Tito Ortiz at UFC 106 in November.   Griffin, a former champion and one of the most popular UFC fighters will be a huge draw to an already stacked card which is rumored to also feature Machida vs. Shogun II and Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley.  Some have even speculated that this event will see the return of Kimbo Slice.

This would be an exciting bout if it comes to fruition with serious title implications.

Minotoro Nogueira will return to the UFC following a victory over Luis Cane at UFC 106.   Nogueira was scheduled to take on Brandon Vera at UFC 109, but an ankle injury forced him out of that bout.  Now it appears that the Brazilian will return against Griffin.

This bout adds to a great card, but do not be surprised to see it actually go down at UFC 114 in Las Vegas later on in the month.
