Escudero looked really impressive coming off of the eighth season of the reality show. He picked up a solid win over TUF 5 alum Cole Miller. Then, Escudero would face Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 20 this January. Escudero would find himself caught in an arm bar and refusing to tap. As a result Efrain notched his first career loss and some ligament damage to his elbow. “Hecho En Mexico” will look to rebound.
While this bout has been reported by several places, Escudeo claims that it is just talk right now. Escudero just recently had an MRI done on his elbow and needs medical clearance before he can fight. If cleared the bout may very well take place.
Dan Lauzon became the youngest fighter to fight in the UFC, but he is still looking for a win inside the organization. Lauzon, the brother of Joe Lauzon will look to rebound also from a loss to Cole Miller. He stated on his Twitter page that May 29th would be the date of his return and now it seems quite possible that Escudero could be his opponent. That is a tough match for a guy who needs a win to stay in the UFC.
UFC 114 is set to take place on May 29th and to be headlined by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson against rival Rashad Evans. Stay connected to MMA Planet for more info as it comes in.
