Tyson Griffin was expected to fight at UFC 108, but was forced with withdraw due to an injury. Now, recovered and training again Griffin will look to take another step forward towards a title shot. Griffin last fought at UFC 103 when he TKO’d Hermes Franca in impressive fashion. Griffin, who is 7-2 inside the UFC could very well make a case for a title shot with a win over Dunham.
While many people may not know who Evan Dunham is yet he is no slouch. Dunham is coming off of an impressive armbar submission victory over TUF 8 winner Efrain Escudero moving his record to 10-0 and 3-0 inside the UFC. Dunham boasts UFC wins over Escudero, Aurelio and Per Eklund.
The interesting thing about this fight is that both of these guys train out of Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas and certainly have sparred together. It is unknown how the fighters will train, but it should not get in the way as both these guys are pure class and all professional.
