MMA Planet’s Lightweight Rankings

The world’s lightweight MMA rankings are perhaps the most difficult to compile.  There is a large pool of talent int he 155 pound division.  In my opinions, there are another 10-20 fighters who could compete with many of these ranked fighters.  One thing to note, I still have B.J. Penn ranked #1 because I feel that he won the fight against Frank Edgar and because I believe he was that far ahead of the pack anyways that a loss would not unseat him as the number one lightweight in the world.  Also, I currently have Melendez as the #2 lightweight because I believe he is the second best lightweight in the world.
