There was some movement in the middleweight division as Chris Leben fell down in the rankings due to a loss to Brian Stann, and Stann soars up our rankings.

A solid fight is scheduled under the Strikeforce banner between #7 ranked “Jacare” and #9 ranked Robbie Lawler.  #1 ranked Anderson Silva will face # 3 Ranked Vitor Belfort on February 5th in the most significant bout in the division.  Also, Chael Sonnen’s suspension has been reduced and he will be eligible to fight again in March and some speculate he could fight Wanderlei Silva.

Just outside of the top 25 rankings are Tim Kennedy, Dan Miller, C.B. Dolloway & Riki Fukuda.

In the rankings breakdown the UFC has 17 of the top 25 fighters, Strikeforce has 4 fighters int he top 25 of the division (Henderson, Jacare, Lawler, & Miller), Bellator has 1 (Lombard), DREAM has 1 (Misaki), Sengoku has 1 (Santiago), and one is a aimless wanderer (Filho).
